ANKARA (IGFA) – The ‘Ordu Promotion Days Local Products Culture and Art Festival,’ organized by the Anatolian Ordulular Federation and hosted by the Keçiören Municipality, has officially begun at Fatih Stadium in Keçiören, Ankara. The opening ceremony, marked by colorful and lively scenes, saw the participation of numerous dignitaries, including Deputy Minister of Trade Sezai Uçarmak, Ordu Governor Muammer Erol, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Hilmi Güler, İYİ Party Adana Deputy and Turkish World and Overseas Organization President Ayyüce Türkeş Taş, Keçiören Deputy Mayor Tolga Turgut, Keçiören Deputy Mayors Atila Zorlu and Av. Serkan Bedirhanoğlu, CHP Keçiören District Chairman Görkem Cevahir Yıldırım, Anatolian Ordulular Federation Chairman Mehmet Duman, Kars Ardahan Iğdır Associations Federation Chairman Erdoğan Yıldırım, several members of parliament, district mayors from Ordu, council members, and a large number of citizens.

Addressing the participants on behalf of Keçiören Mayor Dr. Mesut Özarslan, Keçiören Deputy Mayor Tolga Turgut conveyed his gratitude. “We extend our sincere thanks to our Keçiören Mayor, Dr. Mesut Özarslan, who facilitated the gathering of Ordu and Keçiören residents here today. I also express my gratitude to everyone who contributed to the effort, struggle, and determination required to make the Ordu days possible. In Keçiören, we host many of our fellow Ordu citizens, we are neighbors, friends, and family with them. As a fellow citizen from Erzurum, I am very happy to be here. ‘IT IS NECESSARY TO REMIND ORDU TO THOSE LIVING ABROAD’
Deputy Minister of Trade Sezai Uçarmak emphasized the importance of maintaining connections with their homeland. “It is necessary to remind and not let the Ordu people living abroad forget Ordu. I wish good earnings to those who have opened stands here and to our municipalities, and I hope their efforts continue. I thank everyone who contributed,” he stated.

İYİ Party Adana Deputy Ayyüce Türkeş Taş spoke about the significance of Ordu, conveying the greetings of İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu. “Ordu is a very important city for us because we have the valiant son of Ordu, our Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu. Today, we are here to convey the heartfelt greetings of our esteemed Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu to you. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this valuable organization, held in the Keçiören district of Ankara under the leadership of our Keçiören Mayor and the Anatolian Ordu Association.”

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Hilmi Güler reiterated their commitment to progress. “We have brought many beauties to Ordu and Ankara. We will continue our work and activities from now on. Thanks to everyone who contributed,” he said.

CHP Keçiören District Chairman Görkem Cevahir Yıldırım highlighted Ordu’s natural beauty and cultural richness. “Rising from the fertile lands of the Black Sea, Ordu is one of our country’s most valuable cities with its plateaus showcasing every shade of green, its coasts, Boztepe, its streams, and valleys. We are very happy to keep this unique culture alive in Keçiören. We continue to grow the culture of solidarity we have created in Keçiören. Today, I hope that this bridge of hearts established in our district will further strengthen our unity and solidarity.”

Anatolian Ordulular Federation Chairman Mehmet Duman expressed pride in their heritage. “We say we are honorable, proud, responsible for each other, because we are from Ordu. In this process, I extend my gratitude to everyone who did not leave us alone, who helped bring our compatriots living abroad together and bring Ordu here. There are Ordu people in all 81 provinces. Today, our population in Ankara is approximately 110 thousand. We believe that the Ordu Days will be more professional, more beautiful, and more enthusiastic under the host of our Keçiören Mayor.”
ORDU WIND BLEW IN KEÇİÖREN
Following the speeches by the protocol members, colorful scenes unfolded in the area where local folk dances were performed. After the performances, the protocol members visited the stands, witnessing Ordu’s culture firsthand. The event area, which was also open to citizens, garnered significant interest with Ordu’s local delicacies, handicrafts, and promotional stands. The ‘Ordu Promotion Days Local Products Culture and Art Festival’ will continue until December 14 at Keçiören Fatih Stadium.
