Istanbul, December 22 – A tragic traffic accident in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, resulted in the death of 36-year-old motorcyclist Halil Uysal. The incident, which occurred around 12:30 PM today in the Yassıören Mahallesi, involved a collision between a motorcycle and a car. Uysal, who was severely injured, succumbed to his injuries at Arnavutköy State Hospital.

According to initial reports, the accident took place when a car, bearing license plate 34 MBZ 189 and driven by A.S. (44), collided with a motorcycle with license plate 34 PCA 915, which was approaching from the opposite lane. The force of the impact threw Halil Uysal, the motorcyclist, onto the road, leaving him with critical injuries.
Emergency services, including gendarmerie and health teams, were immediately dispatched to the scene following the notification. Gendarmerie officers secured the accident site, while medical personnel provided initial aid to Uysal before he was transported to Arnavutköy State Hospital. Despite the rapid response and medical intervention, Halil Uysal tragically passed away at the hospital.

The Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an investigation into the fatal accident to determine its exact cause and circumstances. As part of the ongoing inquiry, the driver of the car, A.S. (44), was taken into custody by gendarmerie forces shortly after the incident.
It has been learned that A.S. is currently undergoing processing at the police station and is expected to be transferred to the courthouse tomorrow for further legal proceedings. Authorities are gathering evidence and witness statements to fully reconstruct the events leading up to the collision.
