Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ) General Directorate announced that some neighborhoods in the city would experience water outages from 11:00 PM on December 23rd until 10:00 AM on December 24th. This temporary disruption is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the water supply infrastructure.

Reason for the Interruption: Capacity Enhancement Works

ASKİ stated that the water outages are a result of capacity-enhancing work being carried out at the Çamlıdere Dam water intake structure. These works are proceeding without interruption and are expected to be completed within a few days. The aim of these efforts is to significantly prevent similar disruptions in the future.

“From 11:00 PM on December 23rd to 10:00 AM on December 24th, short-term water outages may occur intermittently in the specified neighborhoods. After the water supply resumes, it will take some time for water to reach higher elevations,” the ASKİ statement read.
