Ankara, January 19 – A confrontation between two groups of teenagers at a shopping mall in the Etimesgut district of Ankara escalated into a violent incident, resulting in one individual being stabbed. The altercation, which police believe stemmed from a dispute over a girlfriend, occurred around 6:15 PM.

According to initial reports, two groups of individuals, all under the age of 18, became involved in an argument that quickly turned into a physical fight. During the brawl, M.E.B. was injured with a cutting instrument by D.Ç., one of the minors involved. Eyewitnesses promptly alerted emergency services, leading to the deployment of health and police teams to the scene.
M.E.B. received initial medical attention at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The disturbing incident caused concern among shoppers and was captured on a mobile phone camera by a bystander, footage of which has been widely circulated.
Apprehension of Suspects and Ongoing Investigation
Police swiftly acted, apprehending D.Ç., the individual suspected of using the cutting instrument, along with M.U. and Ö.F.D., two other minors identified as being involved in the incident. The cutting instrument used in the assault was also recovered and secured by law enforcement officials.
The three minors involved in the incident are currently in police custody. Following the completion of their procedures at the police station, they are expected to be transferred to the courthouse to face legal proceedings.
