Keçiörengücü Draws 2-2 with Amed Sportif Faaliyetler in TFF First League
Ankara, February 28 – Emre Gökdemir İnşaat Ankara Keçiörengücü hosted Amed Sportif Faaliyetler in the 28th week of the Trendyol 1. Lig, with the match concluding in a 2-2 draw. Following the game, both team coaches shared their assessments, emphasizing the high stakes of the encounter and the value of every point gained.
Koşukavak: “Every Point is Very Valuable”
Keçiörengücü’s coach, Yalçın Koşukavak, addressed the press after the match, noting the challenges faced by his team due to injuries and a limited squad. Koşukavak stated that his players delivered a very serious performance in the match, but sometimes football does not reward the effort. “We wasted many chances in the first half. We went into halftime 2-1 down in a match where we could have been 3-0 or 4-0 up. This demoralized us,” he explained.
Koşukavak stressed their desire to win this match after their victory against Pendikspor last week. “It was a victory we desperately wanted, and we came very close. The game could have been decided in the first half. It didn’t happen, and we left with one point. Every point is very valuable,” he added.
Bakkal: “We Have a Team That Can Win Every Match”
Amed Sportif Faaliyetler coach Mesut Bakkal expressed his disappointment over the unexpected loss of points. Bakkal evaluated the match in two halves, acknowledging that his team gave away more chances in the first half. “We knew the opponent would be effective with long balls. We tried to take precautions, but we conceded chances in the first half. Despite this, we finished the first half 2-1 ahead,” he commented.
Bakkal noted that a midfield change in the second half yielded positive results, and they did not concede any serious chances during this period. He highlighted that the goal they conceded came from a set piece. “In the second half, when we were playing well, leading, and not conceding chances, we unfortunately conceded a goal from a corner. This is a marathon. We have a team that can win every match. Championship is what suits Amed’s community, fans, and players. We will recover, we cannot afford to lose more points,” Bakkal concluded.
The match was a significant fixture for both teams in the Trendyol 1. Lig, with the draw impacting their respective standings in the league.
