AK Party Kayseri Deputy Şaban Çopuroğlu visited the Ankara-Yerköy-Kayseri High-Speed Train line’s Oymaağaç construction site, one of the closest points to Kayseri, to assess the ongoing work.
Inspection at T-9 Tunnel
During his visit, Deputy Çopuroğlu received detailed information from site officials. He stated that the T-9 tunnel, a critical part of the project located near Kayseri, is being meticulously constructed.
“We are at the Oymaağaç construction site today to provide information. This is the closest construction site to our city, and we are in the T-9 tunnel. Figuratively speaking, it’s being dug centimeter by centimeter, like needle lace. There is intense work going on inside. Every time we come, we see the construction progressing,” Çopuroğlu remarked.
Project Progress on Schedule
Çopuroğlu emphasized that the project is proceeding according to plan, with no reported deficiencies or disruptions. He also mentioned that he had spoken with the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, before his visit. The Minister conveyed his greetings to the construction teams and requested to be informed of any issues or needs.
“What we see is a knowledgeable team at the helm. Our belief that this work will be delivered on time is growing stronger every day,” Çopuroğlu added, highlighting the efficiency and expertise of the construction crew.
Significance for Kayseri
The Deputy noted that the construction site spans 142 kilometers in an open area. He underlined the importance of the tunnel’s progress for Kayseri, stating, “When the tunnel starts opening in Kayseri, we will once again witness the high-speed train arriving in Kayseri.” This milestone is expected to significantly enhance the region’s connectivity and development.
