Bala Municipality to Launch Hot Asphalt Plant in April

Ankara, March 9 – The Bala district of Ankara is set to commission a new hot asphalt plant in April. This initiative, undertaken by the municipality, aims to significantly enhance the region’s transportation infrastructure and expedite road construction and maintenance activities.

High Production Capacity for Efficient Roadworks

According to a statement from the Bala Municipality, the plant, currently under construction in the Kartaltepe neighborhood, will boast a production capacity of 120 tons per hour. The operational launch of this facility is expected to enable faster, more efficient, and cost-effective execution of road construction, maintenance, and repair projects throughout the district.

Mayor Buran Emphasizes Commitment to Improved Transportation Standards

Bala Mayor Ahmet Buran, whose remarks were included in the statement, reiterated the municipality’s ongoing commitment to investing in efforts to elevate the district’s transportation standards. Buran noted that the plant’s installation would be completed in a short timeframe.

“We are establishing our own hot asphalt production facility in Bala. With this plant, which we plan to start production in April, we will make our neighborhood roads more comfortable and durable. While providing our citizens with better transportation opportunities, we will carry out our asphalt paving works in a more planned manner. By increasing the road quality in our district, we will connect our citizens with safe roads.”

Anticipated Benefits for Bala’s Residents

The new hot asphalt plant is poised to bring several key benefits to the residents of Bala. By producing its own asphalt, the municipality anticipates a reduction in costs and an increase in the speed and quality of roadworks. This will lead to more comfortable and durable roads within the neighborhoods, improving daily commutes and overall accessibility for citizens. The strategic planning enabled by the in-house production will also ensure a more systematic approach to infrastructure development, contributing to long-term road safety and efficiency across the district.

The project underscores the local government’s proactive stance in addressing the infrastructural needs of Bala, aiming to foster a higher quality of life through enhanced urban mobility.
