The operation, which involved extensive technical and physical surveillance, identified that the suspects had used similar methods in at least 20 different robbery incidents. Following these findings, coordinated raids were conducted at various addresses, leading to the arrest of all 23 identified suspects.

After processing at the police headquarters, the suspects were transferred to the courthouse. Out of the 23 individuals, 15 have been formally arrested and remanded into custody by the court. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to uncover further details about the ring’s activities and potential additional victims.

The Ankara Police Department emphasized the importance of caution when interacting with unknown individuals online and arranging face-to-face meetings, urging citizens to prioritize their safety and report any suspicious activities.

This incident highlights a growing concern regarding online interactions leading to real-world criminal activities. Authorities continue to advise the public to be vigilant and verify the identities of individuals they engage with on social media platforms before agreeing to personal meetings.
