Ankara, April 1, 2026 – The Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ) General Directorate announced that several neighborhoods will experience water cuts between 4:00 AM and 12:00 PM today, April 1, 2026. The interruption is due to a malfunction in the main transmission line supplying the Çankaya district.

Malfunction at P-3 Pumping Station Causes Supply Interruption

According to a statement released by ASKİ, a malfunction occurred at the outlet of the P-3 Pumping Station behind AŞTİ in Söğütözü Mahallesi. This station is crucial for supplying water to the Çankaya district via a 1600-millimeter diameter main transmission line.

The announcement noted that while the repair work is scheduled to be completed by 12:00 PM, it may take additional time for the water lines to refill and for water to reach higher elevations within the affected areas. Residents are advised to prepare for potential delays in the full restoration of water supply.
