Youth Experience Tradition and Adrenaline at Istanbul Etnopark
The 4th program of the YouthPropol project, coordinated by the Antalya Archers Lodge Youth Association and aiming to contribute to the personal development of young people, continued with an “Adventure Park Youth Event” held at Istanbul Etnopark Facilities.
The event, attended by 35 students from Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) Maritime Vocational School, highlighted themes of history, sports, and nature.
A Day of Traditional Sports and Thrills
Throughout the day-long activities, participating youth had the opportunity to experience traditional Turkish archery and horseback riding. Following theoretical and practical archery training, the “Archery Tag” game enhanced strategy and team spirit among the young participants. They also pushed their physical limits and experienced adrenaline-filled moments with high ropes courses and climbing wall activities.
Environmental Awareness: Planting Saplings
In line with the project’s mission to instill environmental awareness, a meaningful environmental initiative was carried out at the end of the event. Colorful oya saplings were planted at the Etnopark facilities in memory of the day, and all participants received pine saplings and seed pencils to contribute to nature.
“We Are in the Field for the Development of Our Youth”
Sümeyye Gamze UÇAR, President of the Antalya Archers Lodge Youth Association, stated that the YOUTHPROPOL project aims for young people to both connect with cultural heritage and develop their social skills. She also announced that similar events would continue with different groups.
The program concluded with the presentation of “Event Participation Certificates” to the participants and a group photo session.
