Istanbul, April 7 – A severe traffic accident occurred in the Esenyurt district of Istanbul when a motorcycle struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the road. The incident, which took place on Hadımköy Yolu Street in Akçaburgaz Mahallesi, resulted in one fatality and two injuries.
Motorcycle Driver Dies at the Scene
According to initial reports, Pusat Ç., the driver of the motorcycle, lost his life at the scene of the accident. Upon notification, police and health teams were dispatched to the location. Medical personnel confirmed the death of the motorcycle driver following their examination.
Two Others Hospitalized with Injuries
Engin O., who was a passenger on the motorcycle, and an unnamed pedestrian were injured in the collision. Both injured individuals were transported to a hospital by ambulance. It has been reported that the pedestrian’s condition is critical.
Investigation Underway
The impact of the collision caused both the driver and the passenger to be thrown onto the road. Following an on-site investigation, Pusat Ç.’s body was taken to the morgue. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading to the accident.
