Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Students Gain Practical Insights into Digital Real Estate

Ankara, April 10 – Students from Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University’s Real Estate and Real Estate Management and Land Registry departments, preparing for their first graduates this year, took their ‘real estate in the digital age’ lessons to the field. The students visited the Aktif Başkent office, where many real estate consultants work, to gain practical experience.

Field Trip to Aktif Başkent Office

During their visit, students received information on the practical operations of the profession and the use of technology from Hasan Ceran, Chairman of the Board of Aktif Başkent and a real estate expert, as well as other industry professionals. The meeting, organized as part of a program aimed at supporting academic education with field experience, provided students with the opportunity to learn about the current dynamics of the real estate sector, the digitalization process, and new generation consultancy models directly from sector professionals.

Professor Dr. Ender Güler, Director of the Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Land Registry Vocational School, and Associate Professor Dr. Hatice Gül Önder also attended the visit.

Digitalization and AI Transforming Real Estate

Hasan Ceran emphasized that the real estate sector has transformed into a multi-layered structure, with digitalization and artificial intelligence applications fundamentally changing the industry. Ceran stated, “The real estate sector needs qualified workforce more than ever. In this period of accelerating digitalization and artificial intelligence, it is inevitable for sector professionals to constantly renew themselves. Traditional methods alone are no longer sufficient.” Ceran also noted the increasing importance of specialization in real estate consultancy.

Importance of Qualified Workforce and Continuous Renewal

The visit highlighted the critical need for a skilled workforce in the rapidly evolving real estate market. With technological advancements, particularly in AI, traditional approaches are becoming obsolete. Professionals in the real estate sector must adapt and continuously update their knowledge and skills to remain competitive and effective.

The field trip served as a valuable opportunity for students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge acquired in academia and the practical realities of the real estate industry. Such initiatives are crucial for preparing future professionals to meet the demands of a dynamic and technologically driven market.

The emphasis on digitalization and AI underscores a broader trend across various industries, where technological integration is no longer an option but a necessity for growth and efficiency. For the real estate sector, this means embracing new tools and methodologies for property valuation, client interaction, and market analysis.
