New Courthouse in Silivri Nears Completion, Set to Open in a Month

Istanbul, April 14 – The construction of a new courthouse located within the Marmara Penal Institutions Campus in Silivri, Istanbul, is nearing its final stages and is expected to be completed within the next month. This significant development aims to enhance the judicial infrastructure in the region.

High Capacity and Modern Design

The new courthouse, spanning an area of 11,549.25 square meters, is designed to accommodate a large number of participants in judicial proceedings. It will feature a total capacity of 2,295 people, including:

  • 555 defendants
  • 1,268 lawyers
  • 472 spectators

The structure will consist of three floors, including the ground floor, and is being built using a reinforced concrete and composite steel system. Modern heating and cooling systems, provided by air conditioning units, will ensure optimal climate control within the facility.

Construction Progress and Anticipated Opening

According to information obtained from the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the construction process is in its final phase. The courthouse is projected to open its doors and begin hearing various cases within approximately one month. The current state of the courthouse has been captured from an aerial perspective, showcasing its advanced stage of completion.

This new facility is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and capacity of judicial operations in the Silivri district, providing a modern and spacious environment for legal proceedings.
