Sincan Municipality Launches Extensive Cleanup Against Illegal Waste Dumps
Ankara, April 18 – Sincan Municipality has launched a comprehensive cleanup operation in the district, targeting unauthorized waste disposal areas following numerous complaints from residents. The initiative aims to combat environmental pollution and protect public health.
Teams from the Cleaning Affairs, Science Affairs, and Municipal Police Directorates are working in a coordinated effort to remove waste that causes environmental damage, foul odors, and poses a threat to public health. Following successful operations in Ahi Evran and Ulubatlı Hasan neighborhoods, the cleanup efforts have now extended to Saraycık and Çimşit neighborhoods.
Enhanced Security Measures During Cleanup
During the cleanup operations, extensive security measures were implemented with the support of the District Police Department. Heavy machinery was utilized to swiftly remove accumulated waste, which had been negatively impacting the environment.
Ismail Can Ocak, General Coordinator of Sincan Municipality, closely monitored the ongoing work. He emphasized the dedication of the teams, who are working tirelessly day and night to ensure a clean environment. Ocak also reiterated that unauthorized waste disposal activities will not be tolerated, and strict inspections will continue.
The municipality’s proactive approach underscores its commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy living environment for its residents, addressing both current issues and preventing future occurrences of illegal dumping.
