Four Injured in Eyüpsultan Traffic Accident
Istanbul, April 30 – Four individuals sustained injuries in a traffic accident that occurred yesterday evening in the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul. The collision involved a light commercial vehicle and a minibus on the Hasdal-Kemerburgaz Road, in the direction of Istanbul Airport.
According to initial reports, the incident took place around 9:30 PM when the driver of a light commercial vehicle (plate number 34 MMB 914) attempted to make a right turn into a road split. A minibus (plate number 34 EGY 295) approaching from behind subsequently collided with the commercial vehicle.
Emergency Response and Rescue Operations
Following the collision, passersby immediately alerted emergency services. Firefighting teams, emergency medical personnel, and police units were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters successfully extricated an individual who was trapped inside the light commercial vehicle.
Medical teams provided initial checks to the injured parties, and all four individuals were then transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The identities and current conditions of the injured have not yet been released to the public.
Traffic Disruption and Cleanup Efforts
The accident caused significant traffic congestion on the Hasdal-Kemerburgaz Road. Police secured the area, and traffic flow was temporarily disrupted while emergency operations were underway. After the involved vehicles were removed from the road by tow trucks, traffic returned to normal.
Teams from the General Directorate of Highways also conducted cleanup operations at the accident site to ensure road safety. The exact cause of the accident is currently under investigation by local police authorities.

This incident follows another recent traffic accident in the region, where a truck with brake failure reportedly crashed into nine vehicles, resulting in three fatalities, including a police officer. These events highlight ongoing concerns regarding road safety in Istanbul.
