MEB’s ‘Stars of the Future’ Competition Award Ceremony Held in Ankara

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) held the award ceremony for its ‘Stars of the Future’ competition at the MEB Şura Hall in Ankara. The competition recognized students from vocational and technical secondary education institutions who prepared projects on various themes throughout the academic year.

National Competitions Foster Student Skills and Awareness

According to a statement from the Ministry, the Directorate General of Vocational and Technical Education organized national competitions with various themes throughout the 2025-2026 academic year. These competitions aimed to support students’ vocational skills, artistic production capabilities, cultural awareness, and sense of social responsibility.

Award Ceremony for Top-Ranking Students

An award ceremony was held for students who ranked in the story, photography, poster design, short film, and zero-waste themed competitions. During the program, students received their awards, and an exhibition area showcasing the winning works was visited.

The competitions aimed for students to address different themes such as ‘family, labor, production culture, environmental awareness, sustainability, Ahi culture, and the intellectual world of Mehmet Akif Ersoy’ through art, literature, and visual expression.

Diverse Themes and Broad Participation

Throughout the year, students actively participated in several competitions:

  • ‘My Profession, My Family, and My Future’ themed story competition, organized by the Diyarbakır Provincial Directorate of National Education.
  • ‘My Profession in My Hands, My Family by My Side’ themed photography competition, organized by the Samsun Provincial Directorate of National Education.
  • ‘Don’t Be Afraid, the Spirit of Youth is Here’ themed poster and letter competitions, organized by the Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education.
  • ‘I Transform with My Profession’ themed zero-waste competition, organized by the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of National Education.
  • Short film competition, coordinated by the Kırşehir Provincial Directorate of National Education.

The event highlighted the diverse talents and dedication of vocational and technical high school students across Turkey, showcasing their ability to engage with important social and cultural themes through creative and technical skills.

The ‘Stars of the Future’ competition serves as a significant platform for encouraging innovation and practical application of knowledge among young people, preparing them for future careers and active citizenship.
