Istanbul, May 27 – A fire at a hotel in Istanbul’s Fatih district has resulted in one fatality, authorities confirmed. The incident occurred in the early morning hours at a four-story hotel located in the Topkapı neighborhood of Fatih.
Fatal Fire at Fatih Hotel
The fire, which reportedly started on the top floor of the hotel, prompted an immediate response from fire, health, and police teams after an alarm was raised. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and successfully brought the fire under control. Following the extinguishing of the flames, an inspection of the hotel revealed the tragic death of a 32-year-old guest, identified as H.E.G.
Investigation Underway
The body of the deceased was transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue for an autopsy after preliminary on-site investigations were completed. Police authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
