Among sector indices, banking was the highest gainer, whereas metal goods and machinery recorded the largest loss at 2.51%.

Gold Price at $4,210 Per Ounce

The international price of gold stood at $4,210 per ounce as of 6:20 PM. In the Istanbul Gold Exchange, the price of a kilogram of standard gold increased by 2.8% compared to the previous close, reaching 6,277,300 Turkish Liras.

Increased Risk Appetite in Markets

Global markets are showing a positive trend, with geopolitical tensions in the Middle East remaining a focal point for investors. US President Donald Trump announced yesterday that planned attacks on Iran had been canceled and that an agreement was nearing the “approval stage.”

Speaking to the press at the White House, Trump stated, “We are going through the process of preparing the final documents. This process will be completed within the next few days, and a signing ceremony will be held, perhaps in Europe.”

However, Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency reported that claims of an agreement to be signed in Geneva on Sunday to end the war between Iran and the US and begin negotiations were not true. The report also emphasized that Iranian authorities were still reviewing the relevant text and had not yet made a decision on the matter.

Analysts note that next week’s domestic agenda includes industrial production, budget balance, housing price index, housing sales, real sector confidence index, and capacity utilization rates. Internationally, the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision, along with inflation data from the Eurozone, UK, and Japan, will be closely watched. Technically, analysts indicate that for the BIST 100 index, 14,000 and 14,100 points are resistance levels, while 13,800 and 13,700 points serve as support levels.
