Istanbul, June 16 – A 16-year-old suspect, identified as E.T., has been arrested following a shooting incident at a shopping mall in Sarıyer, Istanbul, on June 13. The incident, which took place in a cafe within the mall, left 35-year-old art dealer Barış A. injured in the leg. E.T. was charged with “Intentional Injury” and “Violation of Law No. 6136” (regarding firearms) and sent to prison on June 14.

The shooting occurred on June 13 at approximately 16:44 in a cafe located in a shopping mall in Sarıyer’s Ayazağa Neighborhood. According to initial reports, Barış A., who was present as a customer, was approached by E.T. before the attack. Witnesses reported that E.T. initially complimented Barış A.’s tattoo, saying, “Your tattoo is very nice, brother,” before briefly leaving and then returning to open fire.
Emergency services, including police and medical teams, were immediately dispatched to the scene following the incident. Barış A. received initial medical attention at the scene and was then transported to a hospital. Authorities confirmed that his injuries were not life-threatening.
Apprehension and Arrest of Suspects
