He commented, “Some decisions contain demands that are contrary to Turkey’s national policies. Of course, as a citizen of Turkey, one may feel the need to react to this. I will certainly not sign off on every decision taken by the European Parliament against Turkey.” This statement underscores his stance on national sovereignty and his critical view of certain aspects of the EU report.
