Kırşehir, June 19 – A delegation from the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) Vocational Training and Ahi Specialization Commission, led by Ahmet Akça, visited the Kırşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KTSO) yesterday, June 18, 2026. The visit focused on the reflections of Ahi culture in modern times, potential collaborations in vocational training, and inter-institutional cooperation opportunities.
Discussions on Ahi Culture and Vocational Training
The visit, hosted at the KTSO service building, saw KTSO Assembly President Burak Bülent Batı, Board of Directors Chairman Mustafa Yılmaz, and other board members welcoming the Ankara delegation. During the cordial meeting, discussions revolved around the values that the Ahi organization, a significant historical and cultural heritage of Kırşehir, has brought to the business world.
As part of the program, the ATO delegation conducted various visits in Kırşehir to examine the historical and institutional legacy of Ahi culture on-site. They exchanged ideas on the place of the Ahi understanding in today’s business life and its contributions to vocational education.
Joint Projects for Future Generations
The meeting also emphasized joint projects aimed at ensuring more active participation of young people in vocational training processes, strengthening the awareness of business ethics, and transferring Ahi values to future generations. Collaborative efforts and training activities between the institutions were also among the topics discussed.
KTSO Board of Directors Chairman Mustafa Yılmaz expressed his satisfaction with the visit and extended his thanks to Ahmet Akça and the accompanying delegation. Yılmaz stated that Ahi culture is an important value not only for Kırşehir but for all of Turkey, and affirmed their readiness to support any work done to preserve and transmit this culture to future generations.
