Picnic in Ankara Turns Deadly: Husband Stabs Wife to Death
Ankara, June 22 – A family picnic in Ankara yesterday morning tragically ended in murder when Davut S. allegedly stabbed his wife, Zahide S. (46), to death after an argument. The incident took place in Kızık Mahallesi, Akyurt district. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect.
The Tragic Incident Unfolds
The couple, Davut S. and Zahide S., had gone to their garden for a picnic when an argument erupted for reasons yet unknown. The dispute escalated, leading to Davut S. reportedly stabbing his wife, a mother of two, before fleeing the scene. Relatives, unable to reach the couple, later discovered Zahide S.’s lifeless body in the garden.

Zahide S. Laid to Rest
Following autopsy procedures at the Ankara Forensic Medicine Institute, Zahide S.’s body was released to her family. She was subsequently brought to Kozayağı Mahallesi in the Akyurt district and laid to rest in the village cemetery after noon prayers.

Local residents revealed that Davut S. was unemployed and reportedly suffered from psychological issues. They also stated that he had previously physically abused his wife, leading to a restraining order being issued against him.
