Tragic Accident Claims Life of 14-Year-Old Girl in Ankara
Ankara, February 23 – A devastating traffic accident last Thursday in the Çankaya district of Ankara resulted in the death of a 14-year-old girl, identified as E.G. The incident, which occurred on Turan Güneş Boulevard, involved a car allegedly driven at high speed and erratically by Y.A. The driver has since been arrested and remanded in custody.
Details of the Incident
The accident took place last Thursday when E.G. was attempting to cross Turan Güneş Boulevard. According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle, driven by Y.A., was observed to be speeding and swerving dangerously before it struck the young girl. Promptly after the collision, passersby notified emergency services, leading to the dispatch of medical and police teams to the scene.
Upon arrival, paramedics provided immediate first aid to E.G. at the site of the accident. She was then transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further medical intervention. Despite all efforts by the medical staff, E.G. succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the hospital.
Driver Arrested and Investigation Underway
Following the incident, the driver of the vehicle, identified as Y.A., was apprehended by law enforcement. After initial questioning and procedural steps, Y.A. was brought before a court.
