Academics and Experts to Convene in Ankara for 21st Century Planning Meeting

Ankara, April 6 – The 21st Century Planning Group’s Spring 2026 meeting is set to take place in Ankara on Friday, April 10, at the Mülkiye Şeref Hall of Ankara University’s Faculty of Political Sciences. This significant gathering will bring together prominent academics and experts to deliberate on pressing global economic and regional developments.

The program will consist of two distinct sessions, each focusing on critical aspects of contemporary challenges and opportunities. The first session, titled “The World and Economy,” is scheduled to commence at 10:00 AM. Professor Dr. Bilsay Kuruç will deliver the keynote address, with valuable contributions from Hakan Özyıldız, Dr. Oktay Küçükkiremitçi, and Professor Dr. Serdal Bahçe. This segment is expected to delve into the intricate dynamics of the global economic landscape, exploring current trends, potential challenges, and future trajectories.

Following a break, the second session will convene from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM under the theme of “Our Region and the World.” Retired Vice Admiral Dr. Deniz Kutluk will be the primary speaker for this session, offering insights into regional developments and their broader global implications. He will be joined by Necdet Pamir and Professor Dr. Melek Fırat, who will further enrich the discussion with their expertise.
