45 Individuals Wanted for Prison Sentences Apprehended in Ankara
Ankara, January 13 – Forty-five individuals sought for prison sentences were apprehended by Jandarma Criminal Investigation Teams (JASAT) in Ankara. This operation, conducted by the Ankara Provincial Jandarma Command, targeted fugitives across the city.
Extensive Operation by Jandarma Criminal Investigation Teams
According to a statement released by the Ankara Provincial Jandarma Command, JASAT teams initiated an operation yesterday to locate and apprehend wanted individuals. The concerted effort resulted in the successful capture of 45 people who had outstanding prison sentences for a range of offenses.
Key Apprehensions Include Serious Offenders
Among those apprehended were individuals with substantial prison sentences for severe crimes. These include:
- M.T., with a sentence of 18 years and 11 months for “Theft.”
- Y.A., facing 16 years, 10 months, and 15 days for “Child Sexual Abuse.”
- G.A., sentenced to 13 years and 9 months for “Trafficking or Supplying Narcotic or Stimulant Substances.”
- S.T., also with a 12-year and 6-month sentence for drug-related offenses.
- Ü.A., who had a 10-year sentence for “Causing Death by Intentional Injury.”
Following their apprehension, all convicted individuals were transferred to the Sincan Closed Penal Institution.
