Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) is continuing its inspection and disinfection efforts to ensure that residents can perform their religious duties in a healthy and hygienic environment before Eid al-Adha. These comprehensive measures aim to prevent pest formation from animal waste at sacrifice sales and slaughter areas.
Comprehensive Disinfection and Inspection Efforts Underway
According to a statement from ABB, teams from the Department of Veterinary Affairs and the Department of Health Affairs are carrying out extensive spraying and disinfection work to prevent the formation of pests due to animal waste that may occur in sacrifice sales and slaughter areas.
The Ankara Municipal Police, in coordination with district municipal police directorates, is also taking necessary precautions to ensure that citizens can perform their religious duties in a healthier and more hygienic environment.
Strict Controls on Animal Health and Transport
Teams are checking veterinary health reports, ear tags, registration statuses, and transport documents for animals. They are also reviewing the temporary sacrifice sales points’ records with the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.
Additionally, compliance with regulations during the transportation and shipment of sacrificial animals is being monitored. Administrative actions are being taken in response to complaints and requests from citizens.
Personnel and Vehicles Mobilized for Continuous Operations
A total of 192 personnel and 57 vehicles belonging to Belplas A.Ş., an affiliate of the Metropolitan Municipality, will continuously carry out spraying and disinfection work in the sacrifice sales and slaughter areas.
These efforts are part of ABB’s commitment to public health and hygiene during the significant religious holiday of Eid al-Adha, ensuring a safe and clean environment for all residents participating in the traditions.
The municipality emphasizes the importance of these measures to prevent potential health risks and maintain sanitary conditions across the city’s designated sacrifice areas.
Residents are encouraged to report any concerns or issues to the relevant municipal departments to ensure prompt action and resolution.
The ongoing work highlights the proactive approach of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality in safeguarding public health and facilitating religious observances for its citizens.
