AI Training Program for Teachers Concludes in Gölbaşı, Ankara
Gölbaşı, Ankara – An Artificial Intelligence Use Training Program for teachers in the Gölbaşı district has been successfully completed. The initiative, part of the Ankara Development Agency’s ‘2025 Twin Transformation with Adaptation and Development of Critical Technologies Technical Support Program,’ aimed to equip educators with essential AI skills for the future of learning.
The comprehensive training, held at Zübeyde Hanım Girls’ Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, provided teachers with in-depth knowledge on the various applications of artificial intelligence in educational settings. Following the successful completion of the program, participants received their certificates from MHP Deputy Chairman Mevlüt Karakaya.
AI: A Threat or an Opportunity?
In his address during the certificate ceremony, Karakaya emphasized the transformative power of artificial intelligence, noting that while it may lead to the evolution of some professions, it simultaneously creates new career opportunities. He stressed the importance of approaching AI with the right perspective.
“Artificial intelligence can harbor risks if not used correctly. However, the fundamental issue we need to pay attention to here is to manage this process with a human and value-oriented understanding. As long as we do not deviate from a human-centered approach and protect our values, artificial intelligence will not be a threat but an important opportunity. It is extremely valuable that our educators are at the center of this process,” Karakaya stated, highlighting the critical role of educators in this technological shift.
Global Spread and Educational Integration of AI
Gölbaşı District Governor Erol Rüstemoğlu also underscored the rapid global proliferation of artificial intelligence. “Artificial intelligence stands out as an area that is widely used in many countries around the world and will increasingly appear in all areas of life in the coming period,” Rüstemoğlu remarked, acknowledging AI’s growing influence.
District National Education Director Serap Yılmaz echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the significance of the training received by teachers. “Artificial intelligence is one of the most important topics of our time. However, what is truly important is to teach how this technology can be used correctly and effectively in educational environments,” Yılmaz added, focusing on the practical application of AI in classrooms.
AK Party Gölbaşı District Chairman Selim Akceylan also addressed the teachers, expressing his honor in presenting certificates for the first time. “I am honored to present certificates to my teachers for the first time. This is a separate source of pride for me,” Akceylan said, celebrating the teachers’ achievement.
The program saw active participation from school administrators and teachers, all keen to embrace the advancements in artificial intelligence and integrate them into their teaching methodologies. This initiative marks a significant step towards modernizing education in Gölbaşı and preparing both educators and students for a technologically advanced future.
