Istanbul, February 22 – AJet’s direct flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Rotterdam, Netherlands, commenced today with the inaugural flight. This new route marks Rotterdam as AJet’s second destination in the Netherlands, following Amsterdam.
Inaugural Flight Met with Water Salute
The AJet aircraft, departing from Sabiha Gökçen Airport, was greeted with a traditional water salute upon its arrival at Rotterdam The Hague Airport. A ceremony was held at the airport, attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Rotterdam, Sevgi Kısacık, Tourism Counsellor Pınar Bilgen Ermiş, AJet senior management, and airport officials.
Flight Schedule and Frequency
AJet will operate reciprocal flights between Istanbul and Rotterdam four times a week, specifically on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This schedule aims to provide convenient travel options for passengers between the two cities.
Expanding Presence in the Netherlands
The addition of Rotterdam to its network underscores AJet’s strategic expansion in the European market, particularly in the Netherlands. This move is expected to enhance connectivity and foster stronger economic and cultural ties between Turkey and the Netherlands.
