ANKARA, (DHA) – Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced that the Civil Administration Chiefs Appointment Decree, belonging to the Ministry of Interior, has been published in the Official Gazette.

Minister Çiftçi’s Statement on Social Media

In a statement shared on his social media account, Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said, “With the approval and appreciation of our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Civil Administration Chiefs Appointment Decree of our Ministry of Interior has been published. The assignments of a total of 430 Civil Administration Chiefs serving in our Ministry’s central and provincial organizations, who have completed their service periods in their current duty stations or have been evaluated in line with their service and excuse situations, have been re-determined based on merit, seniority, service requirements, and institutional needs.”

Details of the Appointments

Çiftçi stated that within this scope, 11 of the 15 Civil Administration Chiefs serving in provincial organizations, 4 of whom are Deputy Governors, have been appointed to central organization duties. He added, “In addition, 208 of our Civil Administration Chiefs have been appointed from District Governor to District Governor, 82 from District Governor to Deputy Governor, 74 from Deputy Governor to Deputy Governor, and 32 from Deputy Governor to District Governor. Furthermore, the duty stations of 5 District Governors in Istanbul, 4 in Ankara, and 6 in Izmir have been changed.”

Successful Service of Trustees Recognized

Minister Çiftçi continued his statement by saying: “Furthermore, out of 13 Civil Administration Chiefs serving as trustees, 6 as provincial and 7 as district, 4 of our Civil Administration Chiefs serving as district trustees have been appointed to positions suitable for their requests and seniority, in line with their successful services during their terms of duty; and senior and successful Civil Administration Chiefs have been assigned to their places. In the path of building the Century of Turkey; I sincerely believe that our civil administration chiefs, who are the closest state representatives to our nation, will continue to serve our cities and our beloved nation with the same determination with their knowledge, experience, and expertise. I wish that our decree will be beneficial and auspicious for our civil administration chiefs, their esteemed families, the cities they will serve, and our beloved nation. May Allah grant them success in these important duties they have undertaken.”
