Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Launches Red Meat Support for Başkent Card Holders
Ankara, February 21 – The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has commenced red meat sales at its Başkent Market and Mobile Market branches, benefiting Başkent Card holders during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative, which began yesterday, saw a significant uptake with a total of 4,243 kilograms of red meat sold on its first day.
According to an official statement from the municipality, locally sourced meat products will be made available to citizens across central and surrounding districts of Ankara throughout Ramadan. The sales points offer a variety of meat products, including minced meat, diced meat, stewing meat, and beef sausages.
Widespread Access Through Başkent Markets and Mobile Units
To ensure broad accessibility, Başkent Mobile Markets are operating in Sıhhiye Abdi İpekçi Park, Evren, Balâ, and Şereflikoçhisar. Additionally, red meat sales are being conducted at Başkent Market branches located in GİMAT, Batıkent, Sıhhiye, Kızılay, ASKİ, ABB, Etimesgut, Mamak, Şafaktepe, Ulus Hali, and the Gökkuşağı Factory Sales Store.
A key aspect of this program is the support for social aid recipients. Başkent Card holders who receive social assistance can utilize the balance loaded onto their cards to purchase red meat, ensuring that essential nutritional needs are met during this important period.
