Ankara, June 11 – New appointments to the Council of State have been officially published in the Official Gazette. The Presidential Decree, signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, confirmed the selection of Şükrü Doğan, former General Manager of Legal Services at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, as a member of the Council of State.
Three New Members Join the Council of State
The appointments were made in accordance with Article 155 of the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey and Articles 8 and 9 of the Council of State Law No. 2575.
Additionally, the General Assembly Decision of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK), also published in the Official Gazette, announced two further appointments to the Council of State. Gülten Hatipoğlu, President of the Ankara Administrative Court, and Recep Yılmaz Korkmaz, President of the Istanbul Regional Administrative Court, were selected to fill vacant membership positions.
These selections were made pursuant to Articles 8 and 9, and Provisional Article 27, Paragraph 17 of the Council of State Law No. 2575, following discussions regarding the vacant posts.
