Bala Municipality in Ankara has announced that it will provide daily iftar meals for 600 people throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Mayor Ahmet Buran stated that preparations for Ramadan have been completed, ensuring that the municipality will once again gather with its citizens, as in previous years.
Daily Iftar Program at İsmail Kara Taziye Evi
Mayor Buran confirmed that an iftar program will be organized daily at the İsmail Kara Taziye Evi, located in the district center, for the entire duration of Ramadan. The initiative aims to serve an average of 600 people each day.
Sahur Meals for Citizens with Their Own Food Containers
In addition to the iftar meals, citizens who participate in the iftar program and bring their own food containers will also be provided with sahur (pre-dawn meal) provisions. This aims to support those observing the fast throughout the night.
Support for the Elderly and Those in Need
The municipality has also made special arrangements for elderly and needy citizens who are unable to attend the iftar program in person. Mayor Buran stated that municipal teams have identified these individuals, and hot meals will be delivered to their homes before iftar time, ensuring no one is left out during the holy month.
This initiative underscores Bala Municipality’s commitment to community welfare and solidarity during Ramadan, providing essential support and fostering a sense of togetherness among its residents.
