Bilal Erdoğan Attends Ramadan Event in Istanbul, Praises President Erdoğan’s Leadership
Istanbul, February 25, 2026 – Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of İlim Yayma Foundation, participated in a special Ramadan event organized by the AK Party Istanbul Provincial Directorate. He was accompanied by AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Özdemir during his visit to the event area, which hosts daily interviews, cultural and artistic activities, and various gatherings throughout Ramadan.
Addressing the citizens present, Erdoğan extended his greetings for the holy month of Ramadan, stating, “Ramadan-ı Şerif has come much differently and more pleasantly this year. Our children have enlivened Ramadan this year. Every year, we used to say, ‘I wish we could make Ramadan more enjoyable for children, explain it better to them,’ because Ramadan is the most honorable and valuable month of the year for us.”
Ramadan: A Time for Introspection and Global Responsibility
Erdoğan emphasized that Ramadan is a period for self-reflection, highlighting that faith forms the foundation for building a better individual and a more just world. He drew attention to the ongoing oppression and injustices worldwide, asserting, “Muslims bear responsibility not only for themselves but for all humanity. We have not been, and by the grace of Allah, will not be people who adopt the principle of living this life only for ourselves.”
President Erdoğan: An Exemplary Leader for the World
Erdoğan further underscored the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stating that it serves as an example not only for Turkey but for the entire world. He remarked, “Our President opened a path for us. Our President restored this nation’s self-confidence. This nation started to believe that it could do world-class work. Therefore, all youth must work hard to achieve the ‘Century of Turkey’ goals on the path opened by our President.”
He continued, “‘We love our President very much’ is not enough. If we love our President very much, we must know his story well. We must tell his story to those around us. Look, our President is an exemplary leader not only for Turkey but for the entire world. We must learn his life story, how he achieved success, and how hard he worked, and we must pave the way for a generation that takes him as an example.”
At the conclusion of the program, Erdoğan took souvenir photos with citizens and extended his gratitude to the AK Party Istanbul Provincial Organization for their Ramadan activities.
