On February 25, 2026, two separate incidents occurred on Konya Road in Ankara. A car caught fire while in motion, and shortly after, a material-damage traffic accident took place in the same vicinity, in the direction of Ankara.
Car Catches Fire on Konya Road
Around 16:00, a car with license plate 33 PT 320, traveling from Ankara to Kırşehir, began emitting smoke. The vehicle quickly burst into flames, but passersby intervened and extinguished the fire. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to conduct cooling operations.
Material Damage Accident in Opposite Direction
At the same location, on the Ankara-bound lane, a car with license plate 06 CJB 472 rear-ended another vehicle, license plate 07 ARS 477. Both vehicles sustained material damage in the collision.
Fortunately, no fatalities or injuries were reported in either the car fire or the subsequent traffic accident. Authorities are investigating the causes of both incidents.
