7th International Ankara Open Dance Sport Competition Concludes, Champions Revealed

Ankara, January 25 – The 7th International Ankara Open Dance Sport Competition, hosted at the ODTÜ Development Foundation Schools Sports Hall, concluded yesterday evening, with champions in various categories being announced. The event brought together 420 athletes from 25 countries, showcasing their talent in standard and Latin dance.

A Global Gathering of Dance Talent

The competition, a fixture on the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF) activity calendar, featured athletes across adult, youth, junior, and mini age groups. Participants competed in both standard and Latin dance categories, drawing a significant international presence to Ankara.

Over two days, the ODTÜ Development Foundation Schools Sports Hall buzzed with excitement as dancers from across the globe vied for top honors. The high level of competition and the diverse representation of nations underscored the international appeal and prestige of the Ankara Open.

Latin:

  • 1st Place: Marat Mikail Arslan – Zeynep Duman (Turkey)
  • 2nd Place: Doruk Şahin – Duru Vahaplar (Turkey)
  • 3rd Place: Felix Reimann – Polina Fast (Germany)

The Turkish pair, Marat Mikail Arslan and Zeynep Duman, secured a first-place finish in the Youth Latin category, marking a significant achievement for the host nation.
