ANKARA, (DHA) – The Directorate of Communications (DMM) has issued a statement refuting claims made on some social media accounts that “90,000 people are employed at CİMER.” The DMM clarified that these allegations are inaccurate.
DMM Addresses Misinformation Regarding CİMER Staffing
In a statement released via social media, the DMM declared, “The claim circulating on some social media accounts that ‘90,000 people are employed at CİMER’ is not true. There is no such employment of 90,000 public personnel at the Presidential Communication Center.”
The Directorate emphasized that “The allegations arise from a misinterpretation of the system’s operation and are misleading to the public.”
Understanding CİMER’s Operational Mechanism
The DMM further explained that CİMER functions as a mechanism for directing applications to relevant institutions. Within each public institution, there is dedicated personnel responsible for supporting and managing this process.
The statement concluded by stressing the importance for the public to be vigilant against deliberately created misleading content and shares.
Public Urged to Exercise Caution Against Misleading Information
The DMM’s clarification aims to correct the misinformation and provide an accurate understanding of CİMER’s operational structure and staffing. The institution reiterated that the figures being circulated are not reflective of the actual number of personnel directly employed by CİMER itself.
This incident highlights the ongoing challenge of combating disinformation, particularly on social media platforms, and the need for official bodies to proactively address such claims to maintain public trust and provide accurate information.
