Istanbul, February 18 – In a significant drug operation conducted in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, authorities seized 183 liters of narcotics concealed within carboys, along with 16,485 Turkish Lira. The driver of the truck involved in the operation has been taken into custody and referred to the courthouse after police procedures.
Istanbul Anti-Narcotics Police Conduct Operation
The Istanbul Anti-Narcotics Branch Directorate teams initiated an investigation into the crime of “manufacturing and trafficking of drugs or stimulants.” Following technical and physical surveillance, the teams received information about the presence of narcotics in a truck and its trailer, leading to the immediate launch of an operation.

During the operation, police discovered 183 liters of narcotics hidden inside carboys within the truck. Additionally, 16,485 Turkish Lira, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking, were confiscated. Driver Detained and Referred to Court
The driver of the truck was apprehended during the operation. After completing the necessary procedures at the police department, the suspect was transferred to the courthouse for legal proceedings.
