Istanbul, May 6, 2026 – The JETEX-İGA General Aviation Terminal, a joint venture between Istanbul Airport operator İGA and JETEX, a global private aviation and flight support services provider based in Dubai, has been officially inaugurated. The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.

Istanbul Airport: A Global Leader in Aviation

Cemal Kalyoncu, Chairman of the Board of İGA, highlighted Istanbul Airport’s significant contributions to Turkey’s aviation sector, tourism, trade, and cultural life, thanks to its robust infrastructure and seamless operations. He emphasized that the airport, one of the largest projects in the history of the Republic, has become a global aviation center, connecting to over 140 countries and more than 340 destinations within a record 42-month construction period.

Kalyoncu stated, “With the expansion of passenger capacity to 120 million, the fourth runway scheduled to open in the second half of the year, new hotel investments, and the newly operational JETEX-İGA General Aviation Terminal, İGA Istanbul Airport is determined to become a global favorite in private aviation as well.”

JETEX Expands Global Network

Adel Mardini, Founder and CEO of JETEX, expressed his excitement about expanding their global network through the partnership with Istanbul Airport. “We have meticulously designed this state-of-the-art experience for both private jet and commercial airline passengers,” Mardini noted.

Personalized Transfer Services

The JETEX-İGA General Aviation Terminal is expected to elevate Istanbul’s position not only in global aviation but also in luxury travel and business traffic. Passengers traveling on commercial flights or private jets can make reservations to use the terminal, which offers personalized vehicle transfers directly to aircraft.

A Strategic Investment for Global Private Aviation

Minister Uraloğlu described the new terminal as more than just a facility, calling it “a strategic investment that will transform Istanbul Airport into a global center for private aviation.” He added that it would significantly enhance the airport’s global connectivity in the private aviation segment.

Uraloğlu emphasized the synergy created by combining JETEX’s international expertise from cities like Dubai, Paris, Singapore, and Marrakech with İGA’s operational strength and Turkish hospitality. He concluded, “This achievement will make Istanbul one of the leading centers for private jet traffic worldwide.”

Future Outlook

The new terminal is a testament to Istanbul Airport’s continuous efforts to diversify its services and cater to a wider range of travelers, including those seeking exclusive and personalized travel experiences. This development is expected to attract more high-net-worth individuals and business travelers, further boosting Istanbul’s economy and its standing as a global city.

The collaboration between İGA and JETEX underscores a shared vision to provide unparalleled service and facilities, setting new benchmarks in the private aviation industry. This move is aligned with Turkey’s broader strategy to enhance its position in the global aviation landscape and leverage its geographical advantage as a bridge between continents.
