Key Figures Present at the Event

The event was hosted by prominent figures including Alexandros Arampatzis, General Manager of WIN Ltd; Vicky Hatzivasiliou, Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism of Central Macedonia; Giorgos Broutzas, President of the Halkidiki Tourism Organization; and renowned chef, author, and TV program presenter Maria Ekmekçioğlu.

Objectives: Strengthening Tourism Ties and Promoting Sustainability

The primary goals of this exclusive evening were to further strengthen the tourism bonds between Greece and Turkey and to enhance the dynamism and sustainability of tourism between the two countries. A significant focus was placed on the tourism destinations within Greece’s Central Macedonia Region.

Highlighting Diverse Tourism Destinations Beyond Islands

The event drew attention to the visibility of Greek regions beyond its well-known islands and specific tourist spots. Participants were introduced to various tourism routes and incentives designed to encourage travel, emphasizing the cultural, historical, gastronomic, and tourism opportunities available in the Central Macedonia Region. This included the Halkidiki peninsula, Kavala, and the coastal areas of Pieria with views of Mount Olympus.

The initiative aims to showcase the rich and varied tourism potential of Greece, inviting Turkish travelers and the international community to explore its lesser-known but equally captivating regions. This strategic promotion is expected to diversify tourism flows and foster a deeper appreciation for Greece’s multifaceted offerings.
