Istanbul, February 1 – An AJet flight, VF183, en route from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Tehran, Iran, declared an emergency today and made an unscheduled landing at Ankara Esenboğa Airport. The incident occurred over Kırşehir, prompting the cockpit crew to set the transponder to 7700, indicating an emergency.

The Boeing 737 aircraft, which departed from Istanbul, reported the emergency while in Turkish airspace. According to reports from NTV, the flight successfully landed in Ankara.
