Kahramanmaraş Promotion Days to Highlight City’s Rich Heritage in Istanbul
Istanbul, April 5 – Istanbul is set to host the ‘Kahramanmaraş Promotion Days,’ an event dedicated to showcasing the rich cultural and gastronomic heritage of Kahramanmaraş. The event, organized in collaboration with the Kahramanmaraş Governorship, Metropolitan Municipality, Kahramanmaraş Associations Federation, and Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, will take place from April 9-12 at the Atatürk Airport National Garden.

Visitors to the promotion days will have the opportunity to experience a variety of Kahramanmaraş’s iconic products. The world-renowned Maraş ice cream, a symbol of the city, will be among the highlights. Additionally, traditional tarhana, red pepper, and local pastries will be available for visitors to sample and enjoy. Bringing Kahramanmaraş to Istanbul
Fırat Görgel, Mayor of Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, emphasized the event’s objective to introduce the city’s rich cultural legacy to a broader audience. In a statement, Görgel highlighted that the organization, in partnership with the Kahramanmaraş Associations Federation, will serve as a gathering point for Kahramanmaraş natives residing in Istanbul. “This encounter will bring all the beauties of Kahramanmaraş to Istanbul. We will be delighted to see our fellow citizens living in Istanbul at this meaningful event, which will help alleviate their longing for their hometown,” Görgel remarked.
