Ankara, February 4 – Kıbrıs Valley, one of Ankara’s important natural areas, will be thoroughly examined at a discussion to be held at the Ankara Kent Konseyi on February 11. The event will focus on the valley’s nature, ecology, and future.
Joint Mind Meeting for Kıbrıs Valley
The Kıbrıs Valley, located in Ankara’s Mamak district, stands out for its natural structure and cultural heritage. The valley will be addressed from all aspects during a discussion scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, at 2:00 PM at the Ankara Kent Konseyi building.
Nature and Urban Relationship to be Discussed
The program will evaluate the ecological value of Kıbrıs Valley, its planning processes, and efforts for its protection. Furthermore, the area’s potential for public use and its cultural heritage will be discussed from various disciplinary perspectives.
Beginning with a Slide Show
The event will commence with a “Kıbrıs Valley” slide show prepared by Hürdoğan Aydoğdu, Spokesperson for the Culture and Art Council Photography Sub-Working Group. The presentation will visually convey the valley’s transformation from past to present.
Expert Speakers
Civil Engineer Erdoğan Bacıoğlu, AKK NGO Project Support Group Spokesperson Habib Şeker, and Mamak Municipality Rural Services Manager Mehmet Murat Erten will participate as speakers in the discussion. Attendees will share technical, environmental, and local government perspectives.
Organized in collaboration with the Culture and Art Council, the Environment and Climate Council, and the NGO Project Support Group, the event focuses on the relationship between nature, city, and human beings. The discussion, open to all citizens sensitive to the city and the environment, aims to contribute to strengthening a common understanding for the future of Kıbrıs Valley.
