MHP Deputy Chairman Karakaya: ‘Terror-Free Turkey Means Stronger State, Secure Future’
Ankara, March 15 – Mevlüt Karakaya, Deputy Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), declared that ‘a terror-free Turkey means a stronger state, a secure future, and a solid social unity.’ Karakaya made this statement during an iftar program organized by the MHP Gölbaşı District Branch at a wedding hall in Gölbaşı.
Karakaya highlighted that party members have been meeting with citizens as part of their ‘Our Concerns Are Your Concerns Discussion Meetings.’ He emphasized the critical juncture the world is currently facing, stating, ‘Global balances are being re-established, the economic order is being reshaped, and major struggles are being waged for energy routes. Even if the maps remain the same, the power balances behind them are changing. Developments in the Middle East can affect not only the countries involved but the entire region.’
Karakaya also pointed out the increased external interventions in weakening states, asserting, ‘A strong state is the foundation of everything. Turkey must be a state that reduces tensions and establishes balance, not one that escalates crises.’ He underscored that Turkey’s greatest strength lies in the unity and solidarity of its nation. ‘Terror is not only a security issue but also one of the biggest obstacles to peace and development,’ Karakaya added.
At the conclusion of his speech, Karakaya extended his congratulations to the attendees for Kadir Gecesi and the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.
Abdurrahman Özçelik, MHP Gölbaşı District Chairman, also spoke at the event, explaining that they listen to citizens’ problems and work to find solutions.
The iftar program saw the participation of Gölbaşı District Governor Erol Rüstemoğlu, MHP Central Executive Board members Oğuz Yılmaz and Çağatay Yıldız, Ülkü Ocakları Education and Culture Foundation Gölbaşı District Chairman Özer Polat, martyrs’ families, veterans, headmen, and citizens.
