Ankara, (DHA) – The Ministry of Family and Social Services has announced that approximately 610,000 households were visited across Turkey as part of the ‘Volunteer Mobilization’ campaign during the month of Ramadan. This initiative underscores the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to family protection and strengthening family bonds.
Extensive Outreach Across 81 Provinces
Throughout Ramadan, the Ministry extended its activities across all 81 provinces of Turkey. This comprehensive outreach involved not only senior officials but also central and provincial organization teams, Social Service Centers, and Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation employees. Their efforts included visiting institutions providing care for children, the disabled, and the elderly.
Furthermore, the campaign specifically focused on supporting the families of martyrs, veterans, foster families, and families benefiting from the Ministry’s various service models, ensuring they were not left alone during the holy month. By engaging directly with citizens, the Ministry’s teams aimed to foster strong connections and embody the spirit of solidarity inherent in Ramadan.
Minister Göktaş Emphasizes Stronger State-Nation Bonds
Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family and Social Services, commented on the visits, stating, “When we knock on the doors of our citizens, we are not just making a visit; we are sharing the same table, meeting in the same emotion. The sincere bonds established during these visits are very precious to us. Seeing a smile in every home, touching a heart, is our greatest motivation. These meetings further strengthen the bond between the state and the nation.”
Minister Göktaş reiterated the Ministry’s dedication, adding, “As in the last 24 years, under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will continue to stand by our citizens at all times.”
The ‘Volunteer Mobilization’ campaign is a testament to the Ministry’s proactive approach in connecting with communities and providing essential support, particularly during significant periods like Ramadan, which emphasize unity and mutual assistance.
