MİT Head İbrahim Kalın Meets with Hamas Delegation in Istanbul
Istanbul, March 22 – İbrahim Kalın, Head of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), met with a Hamas delegation in Istanbul. The meeting underscored a unified stance against Israel’s policies of occupation and destabilization, which aim to ignite the entire region, particularly Jerusalem. It was emphasized that no faits accomplis would be permitted.
Discussions on Israeli Aggression and Regional Stability
According to security sources, the meeting addressed Israel’s ongoing attacks and violations against Palestine. A strong emphasis was placed on unity against Israel’s occupation and destabilization policies, which are perceived as attempts to inflame the entire region, with Jerusalem at its core. Participants affirmed that no ‘faits accomplis’ would be tolerated.
Detailed evaluations regarding the second phase of the Gaza Ceasefire Agreement were also conducted during the discussions. The primary focus was on halting the attacks and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid. The expectation was also voiced that Israel must immediately fulfill its obligations related to the first phase of the agreement.
Hamas Delegation Expresses Gratitude to President Erdoğan
During the meeting with the Hamas delegation, measures to be taken against the escalating settler terrorism and settlement activities in the West Bank, as well as the oppression of Palestinians by Israeli security forces, were also assessed.
Furthermore, the Hamas delegation conveyed its gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for Turkey’s efforts to establish peace in Gaza.
Sources indicated that Turkey would continue to intensify its efforts to achieve lasting peace in Gaza.
