Nine Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision in Ankara

Ankara, January 14 – A chain collision involving three vehicles in Ankara’s Sincan district yesterday, January 13, 2026, resulted in nine injuries. The accident occurred around 5:00 PM on Ayaş Road, Yenikent area. One person trapped in a vehicle was rescued by firefighters, and all injured individuals were subsequently transported to hospitals by ambulances.

Details of the Accident

According to information obtained, the accident involved a service vehicle with license plate 06 CPH 102, driven by Isa K., a BMW brand car driven by Muhammet Fatih Y. (license plate not yet determined), and another vehicle with license plate 06 AZ 8448. In total, nine people sustained injuries in the collision.

Mehmet E., who was trapped inside the BMW vehicle, was successfully extricated by fire department teams after a diligent operation. All injured parties received immediate medical attention at the scene before being transferred to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

Dangerous Driving Preceded the Crash

Eyewitness accounts and camera footage from another vehicle revealed that the BMW involved in the accident had been driving dangerously prior to the collision. The footage reportedly shows the BMW closely following the bumpers of other vehicles, indicating erratic driving behavior that may have contributed to the chain reaction crash.

Investigation Launched

Authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the multi-vehicle collision. Further details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.

Previous Incidents in the Region

This incident follows other recent traffic accidents in the Ankara region. On January 10, a chain collision involving six vehicles in Elmadağ resulted in two injuries. On January 8, a person died after being run over by a truck while attempting to retrieve a fallen wallet. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding road safety in the area.
