Ankara, February 24 – The Presidential National Library is providing sahur meals to visitors who choose to study and access its extensive resources throughout the night. This initiative is particularly beneficial for students during the holy month of Ramadan.
24/7 Access and Rich Resources
Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the library in the capital city offers more than 5 million printed works and a wealth of electronic resources. Visitors can continue their studies and research activities well into the night.
Complimentary Sahur Offerings
During Ramadan, library staff are distributing free tea, coffee, water, and cake to visitors at sahur time. This gesture aims to support those who utilize the library’s facilities during the early morning hours before fasting begins.
Student Testimonials on the Initiative
Muhammet Fatih Öz, a student at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, expressed his gratitude: “We come to the National Library during Ramadan. We have our sahur here and then continue our studies. It’s more productive for us this way. Coffee and tea are also free, and we thank those who provide these opportunities.” Seyfi Çetin, another student from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, also highlighted the effectiveness of the program for students.
Continuation Through Ramadan
The distribution of sahur meals will continue throughout the entire month of Ramadan. This service underscores the library’s commitment to supporting its patrons, especially students, during this significant period.
