Ankara, February 19 – A significant meeting regarding the Draft Action Plan for the Council of Europe Convention on an Integrated Safety, Security and Service Approach at Football Matches and Other Sports Events (CETS No. 218) took place on February 17, 2026, in Ankara. The meeting, hosted by the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports, aimed to address the recommendations put forth by the T-S4 Follow-up Committee.

The meeting saw the participation of representatives from the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Turkish Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of Security, and the Turkish Football Federation (TFF). Representing the TFF were Dr. Cem Yücel, Director of Stadium and Security, and Bülent Perut, Security Coordinator.
During the discussions, the 53 recommendations presented by the T-S4 Follow-up Visit Delegation within the framework of CETS No. 218 were thoroughly reviewed and evaluated. Emphasis was placed on the implementation process of these recommendations and the crucial aspect of inter-institutional coordination.
