TOKİ Announces Additional Lottery for Ankara Social Housing Project Following System Error
Ankara, March 5, 2026 – The Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ) has announced an additional lottery for its social housing project in Ankara’s central districts, following the discovery of a system error that resulted in an incomplete determination of beneficiaries during the initial draw. The administration stated that 227 relatives of martyrs and veterans have been directly allocated housing, while an additional lottery will be held tomorrow for the remaining 270 units.
TOKİ’s statement indicated that the results of the “Ankara Central (Etimesgut, Gölbaşı, Mamak, Pursaklar, Sincan) 21780/500000 Social Housing Project Beneficiary Determination Lottery,” held on March 3, 2026, were reviewed.
System Error Detected
The review revealed that a technical malfunction in the system during the lottery draw led to 497 beneficiaries being incorrectly omitted. TOKİ emphasized that necessary steps were promptly taken to prevent any further inconvenience.
Martyr Relatives and Veterans Directly Allocated Housing
Of the 497 omitted beneficiaries, 227 were identified in the “Martyr Relative and Veteran” category. In accordance with the special quota procedures for this group, these 227 citizens have been directly registered as beneficiaries without the need for a new lottery.
Additional Lottery for 270 Beneficiaries
An additional lottery will be organized to determine the remaining 270 beneficiaries affected by the system error. TOKİ’s statement on the matter included the following:
“The beneficiary determination lottery for the remaining 270 units will be conducted on March 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM, and will be broadcast live on our Administration’s YouTube account.”
It was noted that citizens can follow the draw online in line with the principle of transparency, and the lottery results can be queried via E-Devlet and TOKİ’s official website after the draw.
