ISTANBUL, December 24 – The Turkish State Meteorological Service has issued its latest weather forecast for Wednesday, December 24, 2025. The report indicates that temperatures nationwide will remain above seasonal norms. However, specific warnings have been issued for several provinces regarding varying weather conditions.

General Weather Outlook for Turkey

The general forecast for Turkey suggests partly to very cloudy skies across the country. Rainfall is anticipated in the western Marmara region, coastal Aegean, Western Mediterranean, and the coastal areas of Central and Eastern Black Sea. Additionally, Manisa, Yozgat, Sivas, Tokat, Sinop, and Artvin, along with western Denizli, northern and western Konya, and parts of Zonguldak and Bartın (especially in the morning), are expected to experience precipitation.

The precipitation will primarily be rain and showers. However, the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea region, as well as Sivas and Yozgat, may see mixed rain and snow, or even snowfall in some areas. Fog and mist are also expected in parts of Marmara, Aegean, and the central and eastern regions, particularly during the morning and night.

Strong Rainfall Warning for Antalya

The Meteorological Service has issued a specific warning for the eastern parts of Antalya. Strong local rainfall is expected there from the evening onwards. Residents are advised to be cautious and take precautions against potential adverse effects such as floods, inundation, and disruptions in transportation.

Detailed Forecast for Major Cities

Istanbul: Partly to very cloudy. Western districts are expected to experience showers from late night onwards. Temperatures around 13°C.

Ankara: Very cloudy. Temperatures around 8°C. Fog and mist are expected in the morning and at night.

Izmir: Partly to very cloudy. Showers are expected from the evening onwards. Temperatures around 17°C.

Marmara Region: Partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers expected in the western parts from the evening. Fog and mist are anticipated in the morning and at night.

  • Bursa: Partly to very cloudy, 14°C
  • Canakkale: Partly to very cloudy, showers from the evening, 15°C
  • Kırklareli: Partly to very cloudy, showers from the evening, 12°C

Aegean Region: Partly to very cloudy, with intermittent rain and showers in coastal areas, Manisa, and western Denizli. Fog and mist are expected in the inner parts of the region during the morning and night.

  • Afyonkarahisar: Very cloudy, 9°C
  • Denizli: Partly to very cloudy, western parts with showers from late night, 15°C
  • Muğla: Partly to very cloudy, intermittent rain and showers from noon, 13°C

Mediterranean Region: Partly to very cloudy, with intermittent rain and showers in the Western Mediterranean. Strong local rainfall is expected in eastern Antalya from the evening. Fog and mist are anticipated in the inner parts of the region during the morning and night.

  • Adana: Partly to very cloudy, 20°C
  • Antalya: Very cloudy, intermittent showers, locally strong in eastern parts from the evening, 16°C
  • Hatay: Partly to very cloudy, 15°C
  • Isparta: Very cloudy, intermittent rain, 12°C

Central Anatolia Region: Partly to very cloudy, with precipitation in northern and western Konya, Yozgat, and Sivas. Precipitation will be rain, with mixed rain and snow or snowfall in Sivas and Yozgat. Fog and mist are expected in the morning and at night.

  • Eskisehir: Very cloudy, 6°C
  • Kayseri: Partly to very cloudy, 10°C
  • Konya: Very cloudy, intermittent rain in northern and western parts from late night, 11°C

Western Black Sea Region: Partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation in Zonguldak, Bartın, and Sinop. Fog and mist are expected in the morning and at night.

  • Bolu: Very cloudy, 9°C
  • Düzce: Partly to very cloudy, 13°C
  • Sinop: Very cloudy, intermittent rain, 13°C
  • Zonguldak: Partly to very cloudy, rain in the morning, 13°C

Central and Eastern Black Sea Region: Partly to very cloudy, with intermittent rain along the coasts and in Tokat and Artvin. Higher elevations will see mixed rain and snow or snowfall. Fog and mist are expected in the inner parts of the region during the morning and night.

  • Amasya: Very cloudy, 10°C
  • Rize: Very cloudy, intermittent rain, mixed rain and snow or snowfall in higher elevations, 13°C
  • Samsun: Very cloudy, intermittent rain, 12°C
  • Trabzon: Very cloudy, intermittent rain, mixed rain and snow or snowfall in higher elevations, 13°C

Eastern Anatolia Region: Partly to very cloudy. Icy conditions and frost, along with fog and mist, are expected in the morning and at night.

  • Erzurum: Partly to very cloudy, 5°C
  • Kars: Partly to very cloudy, 4°C
  • Malatya: Partly to very cloudy, 9°C
  • Van: Partly to very cloudy, 6°C

Southeastern Anatolia Region: Partly cloudy. Fog and mist are expected in the northern parts of the region during the morning and at night.

  • Batman: Partly cloudy, 11°C
  • Diyarbakır: Partly cloudy, 12°C
  • Gaziantep: Partly cloudy, 13°C
  • Mardin: Partly cloudy, 11°C
